Frequently Asked Questions

Answers before you ask

Straight answers about how we work, what things cost, and what to expect. Still have a question? Reach out and a named attorney will get back to you within one business day.

General
Do you offer free consultations?

Yes. Every initial consultation is free and comes with no obligation. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help and what it would cost before you commit to anything.

How quickly will I hear back after I reach out?

You get a named attorney, not a call center, and a response within one business day. Most inquiries hear back much sooner.

Where are you located, and who do you serve?

Our office is in the Bay Area, California. Immigration is federal law, so we represent clients nationwide. Civil litigation is limited to the Bay Area and California courts.

Are your fees published?

Yes. We publish our fees up front so you know what to expect before we take on your case, and we'll tell you plainly when you don't need a lawyer at all.

Immigration
What immigration matters do you handle?

Family petitions, citizenship applications, work and founder visas, and removal defense. We guide clients through each stage of the federal immigration process.

What's the difference between a work visa and a green card?

A work visa authorizes temporary employment in the U.S. for a defined period, while a green card grants lawful permanent residence. Many clients start on a work visa and later pursue permanent residency; we can walk you through which path fits your situation.

Can you help if I already have a case in removal proceedings?

Yes. Removal defense is one of our core practice areas. The sooner we're involved, the more options are usually available, so reach out as early as you can.

Do you handle immigration cases outside of California?

Yes. Because immigration is federal law, we represent clients across all 50 states.

Civil Litigation
What civil matters do you handle?

We represent renters, consumers, and small businesses in disputes across California courts, from lease and habitability issues to consumer protection and business conflicts.

Do you take civil litigation cases outside California?

No. Our civil litigation practice serves the Bay Area and California courts. If your matter falls outside that scope, we can point you toward firms that may be a better fit.

I think I have a case, but I am not sure it is worth pursuing. Can you help me decide?

Absolutely. That's exactly what the free consultation is for. We'll give you an honest read on the strength of your case before any fees are discussed.
